Ruby Porter MBE has made a welcome return, with her daughter Jeanette, to visit with the mothers in Sreepur Village, Bangladesh. She sent us some photos of her visit. She is busy making new silk wall hangings wth the mothers and the girls.
Next are some photos of the new weaving shed in Sreepur. Ruby has been raising money for two years to get this new weaving shed, so she is delighted to see it up and running.
Ruby went to see the mothers sewing in Sreepur Village. Some of them are making a wall hanging for the Readers Association in Calderstones, Liverpool and some are working on elephant embroideries. The last picture in this group is of Ruby Porter MBE and her daughter Jeanette visiting one of the village mothers at her home with her family. This embroiderer is working on the elephant bags. This is Jeanette’s third trip to Bangladesh to support the work of the Sreepur charity.
